Proctoring & Anti-Cheat (Obsyra)

Obsyra is a proctoring feature that detects and records signs of cheating during online aptitude tests and web exams. It never treats a single action as a verdict — signals are combined into a risk score, and the final call is made by a person. It is off by default and enabled per tenant.

Enable Obsyra from the admin screen and choose a monitoring level: record-only, warn, lockdown, or auto-terminate. Lockdown and above require full-screen; auto-terminate only auto-submits once violations exceed a limit.

Requiring a webcam makes camera permission mandatory to start, and periodically captures and stores face snapshots during the exam. Images are auto-deleted after the retention period, and only authorized staff can view them. There is no face recognition — snapshots are stored for visual review only.

Higher-risk sessions enter a review queue where staff check the event log and snapshots and record 'clear / flagged / rejected'. This decision does not automatically change the exam's pass/fail — it is kept as input for judgment.

Beyond recruitment, you can also enable Obsyra for internal certification exams in Learning. Turn it on once, tenant-wide, from Admin → Learning → Exams → Proctoring (Obsyra), and subsequent internal exams get camera monitoring, obstruction detection, and automation blocking, with only high-risk sessions reviewed by a person. Pass/fail is never changed automatically.

For an Obsyra-proctored exam, you may be asked to allow camera or full-screen before starting. It's safest to use an up-to-date desktop browser in a calm environment. Follow the start-screen guidance and grant the prompts, then answer as usual.

Common symptoms in a proctored exam — 'the camera stopped', 'I left full-screen and can't answer', 'I can't allow the camera' — and how to fix them. Most can be resolved with the on-screen buttons.
